Welcome to our team!

 

TEAM stands for Transdisciplinary European Arts Magazines. For arts magazines that like to think outside the box. Not publications for specialists and insiders only, but good companions for a public with a genuine interest in the arts. Nobody is solely and exclusively interested in dance, visual arts, or music – each of those art forms is a living part of our world. And that stretches from Scandinavia to Spain, from Greece to Great Britain. We call it Europe – and the language of Europe, according to Umberto Eco is: translation.

 

 

Europe is not Babel, and yet, 25 languages are a lot for the smallest of the continents. How does the public communicate about the arts, which defy borders – their own and those of nations – unremittingly? 

 

TEAM is a network of magazines that respect their own languages while seeing themselves as European. ballet-tanz is part of that network and has the pleasure of hosting ten magazines from that pool in this year’s yearbook: a partnership of journalists and critics, our and your in situ investigators as it were, who will not be deterred by language barriers.
