Frey Faust
Frey Faust, born 1960 in New York City, was given the direction and discipline to develop his own passion by his mother, Shekinah Mountainwater, a leading figure in the female spirituality movement in the US. Under her guidance, he worked from age eight as a mime artist and dancer. Nita Little, co-founder of Contact Improvisation, inspired him to find his own concept at age 14.

He worked with renowned dancers such as David Parsons, Donald Byrd, Randy Warshaw, Gina Buntz, Ohad Naharin, Meredith Monk, Merce Cunningham and Stephen Petronio. He received a grant to work at the Tanzhaus NRW in Düsseldorf, Germany, where he created six solos and three full-length programmes .
