Judy Chicago’s work presented at Kunsthalle Recklinghausen

"What if Women Ruled the World?" is the name of the interactive, participatory project launched in 2020 by U.S. feminist art pioneer Judy Chicago together with Russian artist and activist Nadya Tolokonnikova, a founding member of Pussy Riot. The title banner marks the culmination of the exhibition Revelations which opened to a large audience at the Kunsthalle Recklinghausen at the beginning of this year's Ruhrfestspiele.

Judy Chicago's most famous work, The Dinner Party (1974–1979), now housed in the Brooklyn Museum, was exhibited in Frankfurt am Main in 1987: a triangular table with 39 place settings — hand-painted porcelain plates, ceramic cutlery, and goblets.
