Minimalist pioneer Lucinda Childs will be 85 in June. Time to slow down? Absolutely not!

She is now one of the family at Arnhem's Introdans, the only dance company in the Netherlands that is permitted to perform her work here. To celebrate her 85th birthday, the group is touring again this spring with an ode to the oeuvre of American choreographer Lucinda Childs (1940): an evening featuring five of her ten works Introdans has in its repertoire. One of these five choreographies is a world premiere: Notes of Longing (2025), set to eight parts of the debut album of the same name by Dutch pianist and composer Matteo Myderwyk (35).
