Unstoppable Momentum, Unmistakable Brilliance

He's been in office for almost two years and has already been showered with gold: Christian Spuck and the Berlin State Ballet, which he directs, are practically riding high on success, receiving one honor after another. It all began last year, when the Staatsballett Berlin was named "Company of the Year" in the tanz critics' poll, and Weronika Frodyma was named "Dancer of the Year" for her role in Spuck's first major Berlin premiere Bovary. Since then, it has continued. Be it the old grandmasters that Spuck has brought to the house, William Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, and, just before the end of the season, Jiří Kylián.
