The dance-theatrical reflections on the man, the poet Shakespeare, at the Linz Music Theater last merely ninety minutes. Anyone who thought that the title Shakespeare's Dream would reveal a series of colorfully staged quotations from some of the 38 works of the English world-viewer and psychologist was mistaken. Neither Mendelssohn-Bartholdy nor Prokofiev will be heard this evening without a live orchestra, but rather an interwoven, atmospheric sound design by bassist and composer Manu Mayr, who has experience with Klangforum Wien.
