Transformation

In May, Miles Greenberg completed his mission: The Canadian, not yet thirty years old, was the Pina Bausch Visiting Professor and thus the successor to Marina Abramović at the Folkwang University in Essen where, in cooperation with the Folkwang Museum, time-based art is sustainably promoted. The position, established in 2022, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia and shared between Folkwang and the Pina Bausch Foundation, is intended to enable students to work with avant-garde artists on thematically anchored projects in a kind of laboratory setting. The position is attractive to international greats such as Greenberg and Meredith Monk, who currently holds the visiting professorship.
