On view at the Festspielhaus Hellerau: the world premiere of the double bill «Forsythe/Hauert» by the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company. Thomas Hauert's dramaturgy flows alongside that of Rachmaninoff's 3rd Piano Concerto, loosely aligning with it. Looking at the name of the pianist, Martha Argerich, the title makes sense: Playing with Sergei, Martha and the others. A fitting name for an exuberant performance with ever-changing dynamics. In the second movement, the focus shifts more strongly to physical connections, to emotional depth, which contrasts with Forsythe's Undertainment — although both works complement each other wonderfully.
