Ballerinas want to be admired. And especially a prima ballerina who is still dancing at 50. With Lucia Lacarra, everything is still there: her powerful, delicate figure, her beautiful arabesques, and that stunning instep that extends each of her still effortlessly soaring développés into the infinity of space.

The expressive mastery on pointe of the artist, born on 24 March 1975, in Zumaia—in the Spanish part of the Basque Country—is and remains unforgettable. She was most recently seen in Bonn and at the Ballettfestwoche 2025 of the Bayerisches Staatsbalett in Munich.
