Holland Festival & NDT Premiere

Founded in 1947, the Holland Festival is the largest, oldest, and—above all—most diverse festival in the Netherlands. Every year, it presents touring productions—both classical and contemporary—spanning the fields of music, theater, film, and, of course, dance. This year’s lineup includes: Masters of Movement, featuring Het Nationale Ballet with choreography by David Dawson, Krzysztof Pastor, and Alexei Ratmansky; Damien Jalet’s Mirage, performed by the Grand Théâtre de Genève; and Ana Pi’s Atomic Joy. And since the Netherlands is a compact country, you can easily make a side trip to The Hague while you’re there: NDT 1 is adding Ohad Naharin’s —a work acquired from the Batsheva Dance Company—to its repertoire,
