Festivals

Forget about vacation: The dance summer is essentially spent in festival mode, preferably on the Mediterranean. Take, for example, the Festival de Marseille, which, starting on 7 June, will feature well-known artists like Nacera Belaza, Faye Driscoll, Christos Papadopoulos, and Peeping Tom, while also focusing on Crip Art — with Annie Hanauer, a Candoco studio, and the film " Crip Camp: la révolution des éclopés by Nicole Newnham and James LeBrecht.

It's best not to leave France at all, because on 21 June, Montpellier Danse opens its doors — with Ohad Naharin's Momo, the world premiere of Thikra by Akram Khan and Manal AlDowayan, followed by Pierre Pontvianne, Nadia Beugré, and Armin Hokmi, who will also present new works.
