The beginning of spring in Regensburg: People relax and enjoy one of the first balmy evenings over an Aperol on Bismarckplatz. A few meters away, things are getting frostier: Theater Regensburg invites you on Eine Winterreise, the new dance evening by chief choreographer Wagner Moreira.
The music for the production is by Hans Zender, who adapted Schubert's famous romantic work for orchestra in 1993. Tom Woods conducts the song cycle about the wanderer who, after a failed love affair, wanders hopelessly into the winter night. Tenor Richard Resch sensitively takes on the vocal part, and his commanding presence is all the more outstanding as he is also actively involved in the dance choreography.
