Renowned for his cross-disciplinary approach and his fascination with the mystical dimensions of the body, Damien Jalet once again expands the boundaries of contemporary dance. In Mirage, he joins forces with acclaimed visual artist Kohei Nawa, Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter, and 18 dancers from the Ballet of the Grand Théâtre de Genève. Together, they conjure up a hallucinatory landscape shaped by sound, movement, and illusion — an exploration of optical phenomena such as the mirage and the fata morgana. The result is a hypnotic meditation on perception, disorientation, and the poetry of the intangible.
