Back to the roots, that's the implicit motto when Kader Attou unites B-Boys'n'Girls, who come authentically from the streets, in Prélude. The piece, closing a circle for Attou while a new chapter begins, is now being performed at the Tanzfestival Saar. After considerably exceeding the maximum term of office, the choreographer relinquished the directorship of the Centre chorégraphique national (CCN) in La Rochelle in 2022 and moved with his company Accrorap to southern France. There he began to observe young dancers of today and ultimately bring them onto the stage. He calls his piece Prélude because he still has big plans. Returning to the reality of urban dance on the asphalt is, in a sense, Attou's preparatory move before his next big move, and he plays this gesture out in two ways.
