Ambitious, perfectionist, honest: As her nickname suggests, Chloé Albaret, now a freelancer, was a strikingly radiant dancer with Nederlands Dans Theater

She started dancing at 15. Just five years later, in 2010, she became part of Nederlands Dans Theater 2, and in 2013 she moved to the main company of NDT. And the rest is history, one might say. Chloé Albaret has had a truly unparalleled career. Awarded a Zwaan in 2020 for her performance in Edward Clug's Aperture, she danced with NDT for another two years. Today, she works as a freelancer, passing on the movement material inscribed in her body. We met in Dresden, where she assists the choreographing siblings Imre and Marne van Opstal with their creation November at the Semperoper.
